On my MBP I see the the following information when I click on People in the Photos sidebar.
However, When i click on People in my iMac 27 it always goes directly to the page showing all the people that exist in my People data.
Any way to get the status information shown above for the MBP?
iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10), + attached 27 inch iMac 2nd screen
If there is no statue then the scan is complete on that system

Interesting. Will consider that information and test its validity on some Mac test bed systems I have.

One curious point with regard to your note. When I go to a face and ask to confirm additional photos, it finds plenty for me to confirm. Most of which are clearly associated with the person of interest and should have been easily identifiable by Photos.
This tells me that it has not yet finished auto scanning.
